Review
(contributed by Lindsay, originally from livewirereviews.co.uk)

Magnet (a.k.a. Norwegian Even Johansen) played a short set of songs from his new album 'On Your Side' armed only with a lap steel guitar, a backing tape of ambient noise and a gorgeous voice.

Not the best setting for this atmospheric music but it was at least a good platform to spread the word.

The music sounded like a cross between the downbeat cinematic electronica of Craig Armstrong, Air, and Radiohead - Even's voice frequently sounding like Thom Yorke.

Tracks to check out as a taster are 'Where Happiness Lives' and his cover of Dylan's 'Lay Lady Lay' on which he duets with Gemma Hayes.

Or if you're near any of these you can catch him live:
