A long time ago (a couple of years) in a faraway land (the basement of my house) I downloaded a song called "Quiet & Still" by Even Johansen, an artist I had never heard of before. While usually these songs are pretty disposable, I could not believe my ears. Who is this guy named Even Johansen, and why haven't I heard of him before? Why is it so hard to find his music in stores? Why aren't there more websites dedicated to him? What is this atrocity of the lack of Even-ness?!

Years later, I can't really answer all those questions, but I created this website to get people to listen to Even and to help other fans like me find more information about Even as it trickles in ever so slowly. Oh yeah, and I really like Even's music. ;)

This site was created by Robyn Lee on August 25, 2001 and is hosted by a package part of diskobox.net (which in turn is hosted by ehostpros).  This site started out at prettyswanky.com/even before moving to diskobox.net/even and in July 2003 finally became evenmagnet.net, as influenced by a friend's (and fellow Even fan) screen name. :) The programs used to create this site are Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver MX.
